Our 3M™ thermal transfer label materials are versatile and durable. They offer excellent heat stability and moisture resistance for demanding applications such as barcode tracking. The adhesive provides excellent cleanliness and good initial adhesion to the finished label on many labels. Use 3M™ 7871EC Thermal Transfer Polyester Label Stock for thermal transfer printing with excellent adhesion to high and low surface energy plastics, metals, painted and powder-coated materials. The label stock is manufactured with a top coat that allows for thermal transfer printing, which bonds ink better than traditional forms of offset printing, and the 46-micron coating adheres better to textured surfaces. The 65 gsm high-density, double-sided parchment coating ensures consistent die cutting and easy dispensing. The 350E label material can be used on low surface energy materials, with excellent heat and chemical resistance in aggressive environments. Resin ribbons provide optimal durability. The label material is UL and cUL approved. The durable, matte top coat resists aggressive chemicals. Heat and chemical resistant. UL and cUL approved. Higher temperature resistance than two-part epoxy adhesives. Flammability tested according to UL94 HB. The entire plastic construction can be cut with a hot wire for foam and plastic packaging.
